When you first start in Network Marketing, no matter what the product is, you are faced with one major question... What should you invest in? More product? Business Cards? Medical Studies that prove your products superiority? Mailers, flyer, water bottles, flip charts... the list goes on and on! And while most items do have a place, you are probably on a limited budget. So, my advice is this - Invest first and foremost in you! That's right, YOU. Before you spend money on additional product, flyers, etc., make sure that you have invested in your greatest assest.

Because here's the reality - people don't buy in to your product first, they buy into you. We are bombarded everyday with products claiming to lower our cholestorol, give us more energy and make us look 10 years younger. The people you are approaching have most likely been approached numerous time with various opportunities. So what will make the difference? To answer that, look at yourself. What made the difference for you?

There are thousands of network marketing "opportunities", what made you decide to go with the one you are in? My guess is that you respected the person telling you about it. There was something about them that made you actually believe what they were saying... at least you were willing to give it a try. And then when you tried it and actually saw results, you were excited about sharing this news and potential opportunity with others. But make no mistake, it started with the one who presented you with the opportunity - not the opportunity itself. This is great news!

Why is it great? Because that means if you want to have success in your opportunity, you simply have to invest in yourself. Become a better leader. Become someone that people respect. Become someone that when you talk, people listen. This won't mean that you will sign up every person you come in contact with; however, it will change the way potential people view you. You will become an expert that is on a successful path, one in which people want to join and don't want to miss out on; instead of having a "car salesman" persona that screams - "I am desperate to sign someone up!"

If you have you have an endless stream of income, invest in whatever you want. If your resources are limited, invest in YOU first!
